4. Manufacturer’s Data Report for UM vessels must be submitted to chief boiler inspector when Operating Permit for the<br />
vessel is required.<br />
5. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> Inspection Code (2007 Edition).<br />
6. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> registration required for boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels.<br />
7. NFPA 85 (2007 Edition).<br />
8. Special design requires approval <strong>of</strong> chief boiler inspector.<br />
9. Pressure piping, consisting <strong>of</strong> boiler <strong>and</strong> nonboiler external piping connected to a boiler, but not potable water nonboiler<br />
external piping, is considered part <strong>of</strong> the boiler <strong>and</strong> shall be inspected during fabrication, installation, when altered, or<br />
when adding new feeder lines.<br />
10. Foreign codes: CSA B51, British St<strong>and</strong>ards Institute, European Committee for St<strong>and</strong>ardization or SNCT. Copy <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Manufacturer’s Data Report or other similar document to be forwarded to the chief boiler inspector.<br />

Where appropriate, the following <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> stamps or ASME Code symbol stamps are required:<br />
