If a standalone switch or thestack master fails, the log is lost unless you had previously saved it to flash memory by using the loggingfile flash:filename global configuration command.On the Catalyst 3560-E switch, the log file is stored in ASCII text format in an internal buffer on theswitch. You can access logged system messages by using the switch command-line interface (CLI) or bysaving them to a properly configured syslog server.
