From 2008 onwards, however, the sector wentinto decline as a possible result of the global financial crisis and was declining ataround 4% per annum in 2009. However, from the last quarter of 2009 it showedpositive signs of recovery which continued unabatedly up to 2011.8.4.5 ManufacturingThe following figure summarises the contribution of the manufacturing sector in theUDM to the national total.
