Two Steering Committee meetings have also been held towards the finalisation of the draft2013/14 IDP Review and also the Budget, the committee served to ensure that proper andrealistic objectives and strategies are developed in line with the new developmental priorities,and the budget, and strictly aligned to the priorities, and subsequent to the budget.Phase 5: ApprovalThe draft 2013/14 IDP Review was approved by Council on the 26 March 2013 andsubsequently bmitted to the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs forassessment purposes. The district wide IDP assessments will be undertaken on the 10 April2013, to assess the Umzinyathi District family of municipalities draft IDP’s.The 2013/14 IDP / Budget public engagements will also be held during April 2013. The purposeof the IDP / Budget public engagements will be to obtain inputs from the community ondevelopmental issues that need to be addressed in the 2013/14 IDP as required by Chapter 4,Section 16 of the Municipal Systems Act (No 32 of 2000).6. 2013/14 IDP, BUDGET AND PMS PROCESS PLAN PROGRAMMEACTIONSThe 2013/14 IDP Process and Framework Plan was presented and approved by ExCo in July2012, and subsequently submitted to the Department of Co-operative Governance andTraditional Affairs.
