The new protocolagreement was signed on the 17November 2011.The Municipal Managers Forum servesas a technical support to the DistrictCoordinating Forum and implementstheir resolutions. The members of thetechnical support structure are theMunicipal Managers of the district familyof municipalities, or officials designatedby them, and it also meets on quarterlybasis and is functioning properly.The forum has been recently establishedand the Terms of Reference for theforum will be discussed at its firstmeeting to be held in Match 2012The forum deals with matters relating tothe Special groups which is youth,women, people living with disability,gender, children and elderly, and it alsoconsist of government departmentswhose line function deals with thespecial groups.Its a provincial structure which is beingattended by the municipalities, itspurpose is to track progress regardingthe functioning of IGRThe purpose of the forum is to shareinformation on Administrative, HumanResource and Information Technologyissues matters, and also to provideadvice to the Municipal Managers ForumFunctionalityYesYesYesyesDraft 2013/14 IDP Review Page 84Prepared by Umzinyathi District Municipality22 March 2013
