2.1 Land Reform and RestitutionMap 3: Umzinyathi DM Land Restition and Land ClaimsThere are a significant number of municipal areas which are under land claims and landrestitutions processes. Although, there is no basic connection between the use of land use andland ownership; if these processes are not sorted quickly this could lead to uncertainty in termsof property market, land values, marketability and development processes in general. Therehave been 31.5 % claims that have been settled thus far.
