There is no landin Class I but the northern plateau areas are generally suitable as arableland except, where topography and drainage strict cultivation practices.The central parts, south of Helpmekaar, Rorke’s Drift and Mangeni downto line define by Muden, Keate’s Drift and Kranskop are generally onlysuitable for grazing and forestry. Topography plays the determining role inthis regard although there are islands of higher capability in the area.Although this area is suitable for grazing, it is also very susceptible toerosion.
