subjected to 1% further tax on sales these importers should not be able to claim any input &<br />

would be only paying 1% tax on their sales in the government treasury, this will result in the<br />

factual collection of 15% at customs stage and 1% at the time of sales thus paying a total of 16%<br />

to the government ex-chequer and this sales tax would not be claimed as input tax by any quarter.<br />

We are confined that your honour will kindly accept this proposal which infect yields more sales<br />

tax than the exiting system evolved for commercial; importers.<br />
