Sales Tax Instructions, 2009
2. With a view to expedite disposal of these pending claims expeditiously
so as to achieve the desired objective of minimizing the refund regime, the Member
(ST&FE) has desired to clear the entire backlog within the timelines approved by the
Chairman i.e. 31 st December, 2006. The Collectors shall personally monitor progress in
this regard and ensure prompt disposal of pending claims in accordance with law.
3. It is requested that the information regarding pendency & disposal of
refund claims during 01.11.2007 to 20.11.2006 on account of verification, in the format
set out at (Annex-A) may be sent to Board by RETURN FAX. The information
concerning verifications sought by other Collectorates and pending report with your
respective Collectorate in the format set out at (Annex-B), may also be sent to Board by
RETURN FAX. The information on Annex-A & B is required on one time basis only.
4. In future, the aforesaid information shall be sent to Board on daily basis
in the formats set out at Annex-C&D.
5. With regard to the cases where verification is required in consequence of
the STARR objections, it is advised that the same may be disposed of in accordance with
the instructions contained in Board‘s letter C. No. 1(3)CEB/04 dated 31-10-2006.
