In exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990
and section 43 of Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to
extend the due date for payment of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty for the tax period
July, 2008 upto 20 th of August, 2008.

SUBJECT:
EXTENSION IN DUE DATE FOR FILING OF SALES TAX AND
FEDERAL EXCISE RETURN BY THE REGISTERED PERSONS.
In excise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990
and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased
to extend the due date for submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the tax
period July, of due taxes shall 2008 up to 31 st August, 2008. However, the last date for
payment remain unchanged at 20 th August, 2008 as extended vide Sales Tax Circular No.
05/2008 dated 16.08.2008.

SUBJECT:
EXTENSION IN DUE DATE FOR FILING OF SALES TAX AND
FEDERAL EXCISE RETURN BY THE REGISTERED PERSONS.
In excise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990
and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased
to extend the due date for submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the tax
period July, 2008 up to 5 th September, 2008. However, the last date for payment of due
taxes shall remain unchanged at 20 th August, 2008 as extended vide Sales Tax Circular
No. 05/2008 dated 16.08.2008.
2. No further extension for the aforesaid tax period shall be allowed.
