SUBJECT:- COLLECTION OF GENERAL SALES TAX ON<br />

ADVERTISEMENT TELECAST ON TELEVISION<br />

I am directed to refer to your letter No.ACAA-BL-656/3505/5158 dated<br />

19.01.2001 on the above subject and say that Central Board of Revenue has directed to<br />

allow Pakistan Television Corporation Ltd. to continue to avail, in spirit, the facility<br />

available under the provisions of rule 96ZZC of the Central Excise Rules, 19994 so far as<br />

payment of sales tax and filling return under section 26 of the <strong>Sales</strong> <strong>Tax</strong> Act, 1990 is<br />

concerned. Accordingly tax return for the tax period 1 st to 31 st January, 2001 may be filed<br />

by the 15 th of April, 2001.<br />
