<strong>Sales</strong> <strong>Tax</strong> <strong>Instructions</strong>, 2009<br />

You are aware that every retailer having annual turnover between Rs.1 to 5 million has to enroll<br />

for the 2% turnover tax. Similarly, retailers with annual turnover in excess of Rs.5 million are<br />

required to register with the <strong>Sales</strong> <strong>Tax</strong> Collectorate.<br />

2. On the basis of information available on record, you fall in a category, which should<br />

register / enroll as per rules. Therefore, you are requested to discharge your obligation under the<br />

law and to register / enroll within 15 days of issue of this letter.<br />

3. For you convenience, a facilitation counter has been established at<br />

________________________. You can get necessary help from Collectorat‘s staff deputed for the<br />

purpose.<br />

2. You are, therefore, again advised to approach this Collectorate for registration /<br />
