SUBJECT:- CREATION OF RAPID DATA FEEDING COUNTERS
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above.
2. It has come to the notice of the Board that there are delays in processing
of refund of packing material and other tax paid inputs used in the manufacture of zerorated
goods. Whereas the Board has already introduced Fast Track Channel which is
running into snags due to lack of data. The Collectorates are directed to create Rapid Data
Feeding Counters, which shall inter alia, be performing the following functions:-
(i) All the invoice summaries shall be forwarded to Data Entry Center
(DEC) on the same day it is received from the registered person. It shall ensure
that the particulars of the return are correctly fed in the database.
(ii) When any feeding is done in the database, it shall be replicated with the
Board‘s data base as well as STARR database. All the Collectorates shall
nominate focal person who shall liaison with each other feeding of any
particulars as and when any reference is received from any Collectorate.
(iii) These cells shall initiate disciplinary action against the concerned
officials who delay the feeding of any documents such as return or invoice
summary or feeding wrong data.
3. A progress report on the working of the cells shall be sent to the Board
by 5 th of every month indicating the number of documents it has fed / rectified.
