Sales Tax Instructions, 2009
A number of registered persons have approached the Central Board of Revenue
with the request for extension in the due date for filing of sales tax-cum-federal excise
return and summary statement for the tax period September, 2007 on account of Eid
holidays from 13 th to 16 th October, 2007.
2. In view of the aforesaid reason, the Central Board of Revenue, in
exercise of powers under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and section 43(2) of the
Federal Excise Act, 2005, is pleased to extend the due date for filing of sales tax-cumfederal
excise return and invoice summary statement for the tax period September, 2007
to 23 rd October, 2007.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 4 of the Sales Tax
Act, 1990, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to make the following amendments in
its Sales Tax General Order No.8 of 2007 dated the 13 th September, 2007, namely:-
In the aforesaid General Order, in the Table, after serial number 651 in column
(1) and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3) and (4), the following new
