Notice: For all the barcodes using soft fonts: If you change the Pitch and Height above then you
will only change the appearance for PDF output - NOT PCL. If you need to change the font size
you will need to delete it and create a new one..
Downloading a Barcode Soft Font
A bar code is regarded as a PCL soft font, and has to be downloaded according to the description
on page 306 (2. Download soft fonts) or page 311 (8. Auto Download Soft Fonts).
In order to select the barcode soft font from an overlay, it has to be described to the system on
page 302 (1. Description of additional fonts)
The next section contains an example of downloading a barcode soft font.
Changing a barcode size
If you want to change the size of a barcode that is using a soft font you will need to go through the
procedure below.
If the barcode is a two dimensional barcode (PDF417, QR or Data Matrix), Pharmacode or a
barcode for ZPL output you simply change the size in the font number and that is it.
(These barcodes are not using soft fonts..)
Changing the size for a barcode that is using a soft font requires somewhat more. You need to go
through these steps:
(Before you start you need to goto the InterForm400 font menu via these options:
First 80. Administering InterForm 400 and then 4. Work with fonts)
1. Remove the Autodownload of the used soft font. To do that select option 8. Auto
download soft fonts and then option 8=Update fonts for each of the printer groups. If
the used font number is found in any of the printer groups, then delete the line with
InterForm A/S 323
