Elohim.. . is the process through which Aleph (I)<br />

by initiating a physiological movement (30) in<br />

life (5) comes into existence (10) and acquires<br />

the appearance of a metamorphosis (40) which<br />

offers resistance to life and therefore gives birth<br />

to living beings. [ibid. p. 1841<br />

IV. The Zohar [I:15B] Comments: "When,<br />

however it [the house, Beth] was sown with seed<br />

to make it habitable, it was called Elohim,<br />

hidden and mysterious. The Zohar was hidden<br />

and withdrawn so long as the building was<br />

within and yet to bring forth and the house was<br />

extended only so far as to find room for the holy<br />

seed. Before it had conceived and had extended<br />

sufficiency to be habitable, it was not called<br />

word for nature is which also means<br />

translated in the English Bible as the "Great<br />

stone of Abel." Do not confuse Abel with the<br />

name of the 2"* son of Adam and Eve. The<br />

"Great Meadow" symbolizes the field of cosmic<br />

manifestation, relating to Cheth as the field or<br />

fence of human personality within the<br />

boundaries of the absolute. see 1 Samuel 6: 18<br />

v 2 that which concerns me, what surrounds<br />

me, i.e. my environment. "What surrounds me"<br />

is the "Great Meadow," the field of cosmic<br />

manifestation. The field is itself WITHIN the<br />

encompassing being of the One Reality. See<br />

Psalm 138:8.<br />

my servants [Isaiah 65:13, Psalm 135:Il.<br />

These are the servants of #?!'I?!', the powers which<br />

surround us and constitute our environment and<br />

represented by PR~N, Elohim (86). The Great<br />

Meadow which constitutes what surrounds me<br />

contains nothing but the servants of<br />

Tetragrammaton, and these are the creative<br />

powers called Elohim in Genesis. The power of<br />

specialization corresponding to Binah and the<br />

first Heh in %T. see 162<br />

P'l5 Levites, the class of priest among the<br />

Jews. In Deuteronomy 18: 1 : "The priest, who are<br />

Levites-indeed the whole tribe of Levi-are to<br />

have no allotment or inheritance with Israel.<br />

They shall live on the offerings made to the Lord<br />

by fire, for that is their inheritance."<br />

divided, separated, set apart; similar to the<br />

English "to distinguish". The 6th path is the<br />

Intelligence of Mediating or Separative<br />

Influence. The Separative Intelligence is a mode<br />

of consciousness which acts in man as the<br />

discriminative power that classifies various<br />

objects of experience. A formula for the powers<br />

of the Elohim. They manifest through<br />

imagination (Nun), self-conscious effort (Beth),<br />

desire (Daleth) and action through balance<br />

(Lamed). The sonship of man makes him heir for<br />

the powers of the Elohim. see 1081, 536, 548,<br />

of the special names of Kether (m) and<br />

Malkuth ('j'lN), and thus asserting the identity of<br />

these two Sephiroth. It is written, therefore that<br />

but after another manner." It is also the secret of<br />

the saying "I and the father are one." In this<br />

connection remember that the holy Spirit came<br />
