freshness, and vigor;' the name being given with
the same idea as was in the mind of Jacob, when
he said, 'Reuben, thou are my might, the
beginning of my strength' (Genesis 49:3), or
variant of R??, luh, 'he shines, glitters, or

11. Sattva, or alchemical Mercury, is the attribute
of Yekhidah. The numeral value of Yekhidah (see
below), is 37, which is number of degrees in the
angle which determines the relation of the
hypotenuse of a Pythagorean triangle to its base.
Thus the number 37 signifies the principle which
maintains the relation of the evolving forms of
the Life-power to Isis, or Mother Nature. The
Supreme SELF, Yekhidah, is this principle. It is
the epithet of the soul of life of Israel. In Tarot it
applies to Virgo [3+7 = 10; the numerical value
of Yod, attributed to Virgo]. Thirty-seven is
multiplied into many names and epithets of Jesus
Christ. In the New Testament Jesus calls himself
"Son of Man" 37 times (2380, Greek). The Zohar
(123A) says from Isaac's birth to the time of his
being bound were thus the real life of Sarah, as
indicated in the expression "and the Life of Sarah
was (TIT), the word 'lWl having the numerical
value of 37". The Garden of Pomegranates gives
12 trials on the Tree of Life with a pendant
Malkuth in Assiah. 3x12 + 1 = 37. [see Great

and 6, or 1 plus 36, so that its basic numeral
properties are a combination of the powers of 1,
or Kether, with those of 6, or Tiphareth.
