Intelligence of Service or Serving), and that it is
so called because it governs the motion of the 7
planets and concurs therein to Tav, the letter of
this Path, to which the wise declare that the
Temple of the Midst pertains, and that this Path
is also that of Shabbathai or rest. Neobed
answers to the number 126, and so does 3 3~5~
(Almanah), or Widow. This refers to Malkuth in
her separation from Tiphareth. Thus does the
Path of Tav end in Malkuth, but its first letter is
the beginning and end of Tiphareth. Its last letter
is Vav, assigned to Tiphareth. The Temple of
Holiness in the Midst is in the heart of the 6, and
there is the place of rest, or Shabbathai. From
Shabbathai came forth the other planets, and
unto Shabbathai they all returned.
In neobed that the first letter pertains to Madim
(Mars), and to the perpetuation of life by
generation. The 2& letter is the Fountain of
Renewal in which Shabbathai rules and Madim
has its chief power. Then Beth, and Daleth, so
that you may read it as: Perpetual Generation,
the Fountain of Renewal In Daleth, for Beth and
Daleth together may be read "in Daleth.".
In describing the vault, its boundaries as given in
the Fama total 126. There are 7 lines of 5 feet at
the top, 7 of 5 feet at the bottom, and 7 vertical
lines of 8 feet, and this totals 126 feet. Note that
21 lines establish these boundaries, and 126 is a
6 x 21. It is then ?!'?% multiplied by Vav, the
letter of Tiphareth to which the vault is assigned.
The reference to 7lffJ and 3305~ (widow)
may seem obscure at first; the riddle solves itself
with a little meditation.
The Path of Tav calls for a total reorientation to
the Spiritual East. East is connected with Venus
and the Secret Wisdom. Your personal
reorientation and your personal victory, are also
a work of Venus. Furthermore the dancer on
Key 21 is androgyny, see if you can think
through to its meaning, remember that the key
stands for Shabbathai, and Saturn.
The wreath in Key 21 is an ellipse or a zero sign
representing 1% (not), 'IN, that is I, myself, and
fw, the womb. Key is 21, has the value of
m, the Divine name of Kether, and 'I;P, or
Yaho, whose permutations establishes the Cube
of Space (see Sephir Yetzirah). The Great Work
is both personal and social, but it must begin
with people. As they achieve it, as they enter the
sanctuary, as they discover for themselves the
true secret of Saturn, they progress stage by stage
into conscious participation in the New Order.
This has gone on for many generations. Since
you do not know how many have already
achieved the Summum Bonum, it may seem to
you it is still far off. On the contrary, it is
imminent. See C.36, 474, 61.
3 3 ~ almahnah. 5 ~ a widow, a desolate place.
Said to refer to the "Fall" of Malkuth, the Bride
in her separation from the Son, Tiphareth.
Contains the mystery of widowhood, which is
also one of motherhood, for the bride and the
mother truly are one. The widow is connected
with the ideas derived from the Egyptian Myth
Isis. The Widow refers to Malkuth in her
separation from Tiphareth. see 496, 52,306,432.
I. But the Widow, is also the Bride, and one with
the Mother. In Mizraim was she known as Isis,
and her son was Khoor, whom the Greeks called
Horus. Horus is 12, the Son who is Tiphareth,
and his mother Isis is Binah. It is written "out of
Egypt have I called my son," and that son is Ben
or Tiphareth. The mystery of Widowhood which
separates the Bride from the Son, is a mystery of
Motherhood, because the Bride and Mother are
one.
11. Almahnah first two letters are ?N, the Divine
Name is in Chesed, The next letters Mem and
Nun reveal the hidden Manna. The last letter
Heh, signifies sight, and is also the special letter
in Tetragrammaton (WP) pertaining both to the
Mother and the Bride. The Mother is the sphere
of Shabbathai, or Rest, and the letter of Tav is
Shabbathai itself. From the 32"* Path of Tav
depends Malkuth the Bride, who is the
Resplendent Intelligence, and her glory comes
from Shabbathai, which from the Midst governs
and administers all. See C.36.
darkness. The "darkness" of physical
embodiment. In Exodus 10:22 this word is
spelled 3 5 ~ and , used with TW7. Thus 7Wl
5 is "thick darkness." In Rabbinical
Hebrew: late fruit, latter rain (the autumnal rainy
season). see 7 1 1.
