found in the Vault of Brother C.R. in the Fama
allegory. see 170,65, 155, 136,574 (Lt).
The motto was written around a circle enclosing
the figure of an ox.The ox is attributed to the
sign Taurus which rules the next and the same
place the yoke is placed. Yoke is derived from
the Sanskrit word yoga, which roughly means
practice. Thus the yoke of the law is the spiritual
practices necessary whereby the seeker of
illumination overcomes the bonds of material
form. These practices awaken the chakra located
near the throat, hinted at in the Fama by the
death of Brother P.A.L. who dies in Cyprus (see
870). Yoga kills out the sense of separateness,
and thus awaken the realization of union
(jugurn). Then we realize that there was no actual
sacrife, for we have given up the illusion of
death and have gained the ALL.

Yod force. "Wine" is associated with blood, and
this has its implications in the microcosm. "Oil"
is connected with the serpent-power (Teth). With

[Crowley, 1977, p. 171. They are called "The
Obscene Ones." Also called "Reward of God",
"recompense of God."
I. "Levi in his Philosophie Occulte rate Gamaliel
as evil, 'an adversary of the Cherubim', serving
under Lilth (who is the demon of debauchery). In
the Revelation of Adam to His son Seth (a Coptic
apocalypse), Gamaliel is one of the high, holy,
celestial powers whose mission is 'to draw the
elect up to Heaven."' [Davidson, 1971, p. 120.1
This suggest that when the powers of
subconsciousness are purified they are God's
reward; unpurified they are keys to hell.
