material. The old alphabetical symbol for the<br />
letter Mem was two trees, standing side by side.<br />
Wherever there are trees, in desert countries,<br />
there are either springs or water-courses. Thus<br />
there is a close connection between tree, wood<br />

By gematria we can see an intimate relationship<br />
of the following words: qayam, kehseph, nawfal,<br />
sehla, etz and tzelm. Qayam, means stable and in<br />
this association the lunar current symbolized by<br />
silver kehseph; which brings the descent of the<br />
cosmic energy into form (nawfal); of the weight<br />
of physical manifestation (sehla); of the organic<br />
expression of the life-power, symbolized by a<br />
tree (etz); and of the reflection of the ideas of the<br />
universal mind in forms or images (tzelm).<br />
