Introduction
Gematria is the study of the numerical relation between numbers and words. Prior to the
development of the separate numbering system, each letter was assigned a numerical value. The
Hebrew Aleph, and the Greek Alpha a are numerically equal to one. Therefore each word has a
numerical value. The study of the correlation of words with the same numerical value is called
gematria. Appendix 1 in this book has tables showing the numerical relationship to words -to
numbers in Hebrew, Latin and Greek.
Let us take for example the words that are numerically equal to forty:
Number of days and lights it rained during the Biblical Flood.
Number of weeks of the gestation of a human child.
Numbers of years the Israelites wandered in the desert.
Mem. One of the 3 mother letters. Mem is attributed to the element of Water. Water is the
source of form, associated with the creative letter Heh, and that the multiplication of forms is the
apparent subdivision of the ONE into various parts.

lahah. To languish, faint, to be exhausted, to faint; to be foolish or mad.

to damage, to act corruptly, to sin, to wound..
catena (Latin). A chain; things linked by common interest or logical series.
7 Yod Tetragrammaton. the hand of Jehovah (formative power).
N% tahlah. To patch; to cover with spots.
fCNS lat. Secret; to wrap, cover; to speak gently.
sol (Latin). The sun; gold.
