Gus 'm faic mise slan a risd sibh.<br />

An sian a chuir Moire mu 'buar<br />

Moch a's anmoch 's a tighinn bhuaidh ;<br />

Ga'n gleidheadh bho pholl 's bho eabar,<br />

Bho fheith 's bho adharcan a cheile,<br />

Bho liana (?) na«creige-ruaidhe<br />

'S bho luaths na Feinne.<br />

Banachaig Phadruig ma'r casan<br />

Gu'm a slan a thig sibh dhachaidh.<br />

Traversing hills, traversing woods,<br />

And (while) grazing far and near,<br />

[May] St Patrick's milkmaid attend you<br />

From fens or morasses, and from each other's horns ;<br />
