from relevant organizations such as VTR.<br />

4.7 Data Processing and Analysis<br />

Data were analysed using both qualitative and quantitative methods of evaluation,<br />

following Collis and Hussey (2003). Interviews were recorded using a digital device<br />

recorder. These were conducted in the national language and were later translated into<br />

English. The open-ended interview questions were transcribed and the answers to each<br />

question from all responses were collated and summarised. The summaries were<br />

analysed to determine whether there was a shared understanding of organisational m-<br />

Readiness.<br />

After gathering all the completed questionnaires from the respondents, the responses to<br />

the closed-ended questions in Part 1 were transcribed and tabulated in MS Excel format<br />

and the SPSS statistical analysis tool was used to look for trends and commonalities.<br />

The weighted means to represent each question were computed.<br />

The responses of all respondents for every Part 2 question were transcribed and<br />

tabulated and the weighted mean, variance, maximum and minimum values of the mean<br />

were computed.<br />

Statistical data were collected mainly from the two mobile service providers, Digicel<br />

and TVL, and from other sources such as VNSO and VTR publications, and form daily<br />
