The Logix platforms that can support your motion control application include <strong>Control</strong>Logix and<br />

SoftLogix. Refer to the following sections for information regarding these Logix platforms.<br />

A <strong>Control</strong>Logix system looks like a programmable controller, but it is much more. The <strong>Control</strong>Logix<br />

platform is state-of-the-art modular control which provides sequential, motion, drive, and process control<br />

support.<br />

A <strong>Control</strong>Logix system features:<br />

• Modular, chassis-based platform.<br />

• Wide variety of control processes and I/O module options.<br />

• Wide variety of high performance communication options.<br />

• Wide variety of motion control and interface module options.<br />

• Support of RSLogix 5000 programming software for motion and sequential control.<br />
