Integral Holding Brake<br />

The following section contains a description of and specifications for a 1326AB servo motor integral<br />

holding brake.<br />

The disc-type brake is spring-set when power is removed. It is designed to hold a load at rest and provide<br />

limited braking torque for emergency stopping. The brake is not intended to be used as a positioning<br />

brake (brake backlash is 0.8 arc-minutes maximum) or meant to be continuously cycled to assist in<br />

stopping a load.<br />

To avoid personal injury or property damage, ensure the brake is not energized/<br />

de-energized more than 90 times an hour when used as a parking brake. The parking<br />

brake is only meant to hold a stationary load and not intended to stop motor<br />

movement unless a power interruption occurs. For more information, refer to the table<br />

below.<br />
