Kinetic Creativity - moving groups with creative potential
Subject area: Development of training courses
European citizenship and European dimension
Methods to increase students motivation
Working language(s): EN
Target Group + Translation:
Adult learners who are interested in improving social and collaborative skills, enhancing their
personal creativity and enacting it within a group. In particular, individuals who wish to work
collectively on globally significant issues.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
As a participant in the "Kinetic Creativity – Moving Groups with Creative Potential" you will be
actively exploring creativity within yourself as an individual and within groups, and how to develop
the conditions under which creativity can act as a catalyst for innovative problem solving (in
collaborations, stressful environments or under pressure). Methods and tools obtained through this
workshop can be used in both personal and professional contexts, in particular, within intercultural
contexts and within groups where active participation is low. For those involved in extremely
collaborative projects internationally within Europe, Kinetic Creativity will provide many
indispensible tools and methods to facilitate your work - including how to work with different
language and communication abilities, and how to function with culturally different perspectives on
professional collaboration - which is absolutely necessary in the context of the European Union.
The workshop is based on the following concepts: -failure is something positive that can be used as
a tool for learning -creativity is a product of making mistakes and can be learned (and practised) -
creativity is enhanced through diversity of perceptions, individually or within a group -creativity is
a prerequisite for innovative and sustainable group processes -sustainable, positive collaborations
are important for changing "systems" like families, communities, and even Europe. Most
importantly, you will be encouraged throughout the workshop to engage on issues you find
personally stimulating. The workshop will allow you to test and develop your skills in creative
thinking and creative problem solving through a series of reflections, visualizations, exercises,
games and discussions. This workshop is very interactive and practice oriented, so participants are
invited to bring ideas and inspirations with them, as well as any publications or books to include in
our "library" for all participants. Please note -though the language of the workshop is English,
Kinetic Creativity uses methods that work with and through language barriers. Participants lacking
perfect English skills are most welcome to apply.
