Persons over 18 years old; citizens or legal residents of countries who participate in Long Life<br />

Learning Program, non - professionals in the field of LABAN MOVEMENT ANALYSIS. The<br />

workshop aims for everybody who is interested in movement and non verbal interaction, who on a<br />

personal level wants to explore what this means. If you like moving and observing other people’s<br />

movement and are curious of what movement is about - this workshop is for you. Workshop is<br />

based on physical practice, you are to have the stamina for intensive all day long physical effort.<br />

Expected number of participants: 16<br />

Main activities Programme + Programme translation:<br />

In a 7 day workshop the width and depth of Laban Movement Analysis will be explored for<br />

personal growth of participants. The non formal educational experience of this LMA workshop can<br />

be a lifelong tool for further individual exploration. The content of the workshop will focus on the<br />

use of Body, Space and Efforts and its implications for personal movement patterns, communicative<br />

and social skills. In this intensive journey of practice, instruction/demonstration,<br />

discussion/reflection and observation participants will work on their own and others’ movement<br />

preferences, also from a cultural perspective.<br />

Program Basics Content<br />

- Laban Movement Analysis<br />

- Laban Based Modern Dance both at improvisational level and structure with short phrases<br />

Main Activities<br />

- Practice of movement and analysis in dyads/groups<br />

- Improvisation/structured dance in short phrases<br />

- Instruction offered by the teacher and<br />

- Demonstration presented by participants,<br />

- Discussion of daily movement and routines,<br />

- Reflection upon each other movement as well as<br />

- Observation of each other and sample video materials.<br />
