- Non-professional adults interested in performing arts.
- Adults who are interested in pantomime, but have no access to training.
- Amateur actors interested in enriching their communication skills through body language.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
The main goal of the workshop is to make people aware of the capabilities of human body to
communicate universally. During the 6 days of the workshop participants will have a chance to:
- get to know their bodies better (through lectures, visual aids and practical body awareness
sessions)
- acquire basic mime techniques (travel steps, handling objects, push/pull, moving objects)
- apply learned skills in small scenarios
- watch inspiring examples of body-communication techniques in performances of physical theatre
artists
- listen to interesting lectures on different aspects of body communication
- try out different theatre make-up techniques
- investigate the use of body language in non-artistic environment
Participants’ knowledge of the human body and its biomechanics will increase. They will know
how to efficiently use it for non-verbal communication. They will leave the workshop with the
knowledge of basic mime skills (travel steps, handling objects, push/pull).
A quiet hotel at Kazimierz (Old Jewish district of Cracow). The hotel is situated within a walking
distant from the Cracow’s most popular cultural and historical sights.
The Organizer will take care of all food and accomodation arrangements, booking airplane tickets,
providing insurance.
