Target Group + Translation:
adult people from Europe: unemployed persons, adults not involved in formal adult education;
adults who want to increase their abilities in photo techniques / documentary as part of an art -
social interest and, also, in a perspective of gaining new work skills; adults that have the desire to
learn about different European communities and to meet, work, organise discussion groups with
people from other countries / cultures; no professional skills are required.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
- Presentation of the LLP, Grundtvig and European Commission Policies on Adult Education; - An
introduction to the photo-documentary in Europe and Romania (multimedia presentations); -
Practical work with photographic equipment / techniques in photo-documentary; - Presentation of
the history, culture, social background and ecology of the region; - Visits to the local points of
interest / getting to know the surroundings and the possibilities for making the documentaries; -
Interactive outdoors working / Short trips to the chosen old occupations sites (sheepfold related
activities; traditional stream whirlpools; traditional water mills; farriery / horse shoes; hayharvesting;
forest related activities); - Image processing on computer technology; - Printing
images, organizing and participation to the vernissage; - Evaluation by delivering of (1) an
individual portfolio from each participant and (2) presenting a virtual and a printed vernissage with
their work; (3) final evaluation procedure / questionnaire; - Preparing multimedia CDs for
participants and creating internet pages / profiles.
