- adults interested in creative use of multimedia for cultural purposes,
- adults involved in the organization of music events, who desire to make them richer and give them
more impact.

Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
The Organizer has designed the workshop mainly as a computer-based training. However, some
theory items are going to be touched upon:
- Communication rules
- Using internet resources and ready-made materials
- Copyright
- Work flow and organization in a multimedia team
- Symbols immanent in cultures - cross-cultural visual strategies
- Role of multimedia: merely a background or an important part?
In terms of computer-based training, the following items are going to be presented:
- composition rules
- basic photography and video editing
- digital photography basics
- using freeware software, e.g. Virtualdub, OpenOffice, Picasa, Irfan View
- working with text, typography rules
- design trends
- choosing the right materials for presentation
After 5 days of the workshop, the participants will be prepared to:
- use multimedia devices and programs properly and at ease,
- design and bring off a multimedia presentation,
- use image-editing tools (colour correction, resolution and retouching in photography, videos, and
any kind of graphics)
- create a coherent and attractive visual setting for a cultural event,
- form a multimedia team responsible for preparation of visual imagery for musical events.
The Organiser ensures accommodation in a 3-star hotel (or other accommodation with similar
standard). The Workshop courses will be going on in facilities adapted for education purposes and
for computer-based training. The distance from the hotel to the learning area will not exceed 15
