Target Group + Translation:<br />

The target groups of the workshop are people from disadvantaged environments or with special<br />

needs in education whom different kinds of limits (physical or mental health, age, finances) stand in<br />

the way to fully join social life. The Workshop is intended for people who struggle with loneliness,<br />

isolation and lack of perspectives, as well as for those who, due to their difficult financial situation,<br />

are not able to take part in cultural events.<br />

The organiser has set 3 target groups of the Workshop:<br />

- people with a disability,<br />

- unemployed, especially long-term,<br />

- seniors (above 50 years old).<br />

Expected number of participants: 16<br />

Main activities Programme + Programme translation:<br />

The goal of the Workshop is to gather participants from Europe to create a gospel choir under the<br />

direction of experienced instructors. They will prepare 10 songs to be performed during the concert<br />

on the last day of the Workshop.<br />

Main activities:<br />

Introduction to gospel music.<br />

Choir rehearsals.<br />

Participation in gospel concerts within 7xGospel Festival.<br />

Sessions in a recording studio.<br />

Public performance during the final concert.<br />

Under the supervision of the specialists in the subject, the learners will acquire:<br />

- valuable knowledge about gospel music (history, traditions, music styles, message),<br />

- skills connected to gospel singing in a choir (vocal techniques, rythm, singing in harmony and<br />

solo singing),<br />

- skills necessary to effectively work in a team.<br />

Thanks to communicating in English during the Workshop and to the lyrics of the songs learnt, the<br />

participants from non-<br />

English-speaking countries will strengthen their language skills.<br />

All that will help build and strengthen participants’ self-confidence in order to empower them to<br />

take more active approach to<br />

social life in their own communities.<br />
