The workshop aims at everyone who wants to actively take a more conscious approach to food and
health in their life. No special skills or knowledge required. Everyone older than 18 years can take
part, also people with special dietarian needs.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
Healthy food is the best medicine. By introducing more raw living food into your diet you can
increase your health at no extra costs. Modern raw cuisine is anything but dull carrot-nibbling. With
its wide range of fruits, vegetables, greens, algaes, nuts, seeds and sprouts etc., there is no limitation
to your imagination and creativity. In theory and practice you will learn the basics as well as the
special treats. One focus lies on edible wild greens, how to recognize them, how to get them and
why they are so good for everyone. More than 1.500 edible wild plants exist in Middle Europe
alone. On the workshop area they grow in abundance and we will take walks to collect them every
day and so learn from experience. You will share your own unique knowledge and experiences with
each other. And what is good for us is also good for the planet. We will address the impacts our
eating habits have on society and the environment and how easy it can be to make a significant
difference. After one week you will be able to introduce more fresh vegetables and greens into your
life, because you will have learned how to deliciously prepare them in new ways. You will be able
to enrich your tables with natures free gifts - the wild plants. You will see nature with different eyes
by recognizing the generous offers of edible plants everywhere around you. By highlighting the
various european specialities and cultural diversity of the participants different gastronomic cultures
you will broaden your understanding of each other, as well as enriching your personal diets. Old
knowledge and different european traditions will be preserved and shared through an intercultural
dialog amongst all participants of the workshop. The participants will become more self-confident
in making choices in everyday life to ensure their and their families health as well as the health of
the planet.
