The program aims: - improving digital competences (learn to make a short own video) - processing individual views and experiences - improving individual expression and debate culture - encouraging intercultural dialog - motivating lifelong learning The workshop will be based on the dialog of participants from different European countries, about the personal memories, perspectives of Europe. A program Európa fiataljait várja 16- 35 életkör között. Jewellery and fashion design This program welcomes young people ages 16-35 from all over Europe. Main activities Programme + Programme translation: E kísérleti műhely során a résztvevők a hagyományos cigány/roma motívumokon keresztül két világba nyernek párhuzamosan betekintést: a hagyományos európai roma kultúrák világába, és a mai kortárs divat és design világába. A résztvevőknek a hagyományos cigány motívumokból kiindulva lehetőségük lesz a szimbólumok mögött húzódó történelem, szokások, hiedelmek, társadalmi berendezkedések, ünnepek, és ételek megismerésére. Ugyanakkor kipróbálhatják magukat a divattervezés és a design területén is, ahol szakemberek lépésről lépésre végigkalauzolják és segítik őket egy általuk választott öltözék, kiegészítő (ékszer, táska, sál), használati vagy dísztárgy megtervezésében és elkészítésében, így ismerkedve meg elméletben és gyakorlatban egyaránt a design folyamat lépéseivel és a designt befolyásoló sokféle szemponttal. Délelőttönként a motívumok megfejtésére és a roma kultúra sajátságaira fektetjük a hangsúlyt, és dolgozni fogunk saját előítéleteinkkel is. Délután pedig egyéni vagy kiscsoportos alkotó munka keretében - többek között - ékszert, ruhát, párnát vagy képkeretet tervezhetnek és készíthetnek a résztvevők. A program keretében vendégségbe megyünk hagyományőrző roma családokhoz, készítünk tipikus cigány ételeket, táncot és zenélést tanulunk, és lehetőségünk lesz roma emberek életútjainak megismerésére is. In this experimental workshop, we attempt to bring together two unrealted fields: the world and culture of Roma across Europe and the world of design. Taking traditional Gypsy symbols and motifs as a starting point, participants will discover the history, beliefs and cultural heritage of Roma people across Europe, and specifically in Hungary. At the same time participants can challenge themselves with task of turning these traditional motifs into modern design objects, such as a silver jewel, a mirror frame, a pillow, a T-shirt, and many more. Professionals will guide participants through each step of the process from initiating them into the steps of the design process to the actual production of the article. 197
