Target Group + Translation:
The offer of the workshops is addressed to adult persons, inhabitants of EU member countries
interested in Jewish culture and history, as well as to people of broad artistic and historic interests.
Expected number of participants: We plan to organize workshops for 15 participants.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
The proposed workshops will consist of : practical workshops, lectures, visits in places of historic
importance for the Jewish culture (the Jewish Cemetery, the area of the previous Litzmannstadt
Ghetto, the Jewish Community), Sabbath evening at Ronald Lauder Foundation. The effect of the
six day’s work will be the participation in a joint artistic project entitled “ The Jewish Inn” , which
is going to be presented to local audience. Event program will include: opening of the photo
exhibition, Jewish song concert performed by the Clil choir with the workshop participants actively
involved, a presentation of a Hasidic dance. An additional attraction congruent with the atmosphere
of the evening will be the tasting of the Jewish dishes and the concert of the klezmer music
performed by musicians from Łódź.

Dance and music workshops preparing the participants for the final artistic evening “The Jewish
Inn” which will include
- Hasidic dance workshops
- Traditional Jewish songs workshop
Lectures:
“Lodz before 1939- the city of the four cultures”, “Lodz Ghetto”, “Shtetl- the Jewish towns”,
“Jewish rites and symbols” - lecture and visit in the Jewish Community Center, „Sabbath evening”
– lecture and visit in R. Lauder foundation
As a result the participants of the workshops will attain practical knowledge of Jewish culture, will
get acquainted with its elements, will get to know the history and the monuments of the host city,
the city that grew out of the multicultural background. The group of the participants will learn how
to find differences in the multicultural, will broaden their knowledge of the different culture,
