Target Group + Translation:
1. Adult volunteers / leaders involved in the work of associations and non-profit organizations
operating among students from diverse backgrounds (including international backgrounds). Leaders
who are interested in supporting and preparing young people for a professional and personal life of
integrity.
2. Adults interested in obtaining personal development and deepening leadership and team building
skills. Adults curious about innovative, creative learning and the methodology applied during the
workshop.
Main activities Programme + Programme translation:
The choice of creative and innovative workshop methods determines the success of achieving the
desired objectives and satisfaction of participants. Guided by this principle and rich experience
organisers chose a sailing trip as a "tool" in achieving the objectives.
1. Developing leadership skills (leadership):
a. defining goals skilfully and clearly,
b. planning actions and measuring their costs,
c. developing communication skills in a team.
2. Building teamwork skills:
a. the division of responsibility in the team,
b. "team spirit",
c. building relationships.
3. Working on your own personal development (character building):
a. identifying your personality type and abilities,
b. counselling and mentoring,
c. developing creative way of thinking.
4. Building intercultural awareness.
After 6 days of workshop participants will acquire new competencies and skills:
1. Knowledge of the principles of teamwork.
2. The ability to define the purpose and vision.
3. Effective interpersonal communication.
4. Knowing their personality type (to better understand themselves and others).
5. The diagnosis of their strengths and weaknesses (leader profile).
6. Conscious planning of further personal development of a leader.
