PS385, Cognitive Processes: A compare and<br />
contrast theory course, covering basic issues in<br />
memory, information processing, problem<br />
solving, psycholinguistics, artificial intelligence<br />
and expert systems as they reflect memory<br />

PS391, Internship: An opportunity for the<br />
qualified student to participate in a supervised<br />
work experience in a setting pertinent to the<br />

This course provides an advanced overview of<br />
the principles and methods of neuroscience as<br />

PS415, Psychological Testing: An introduction<br />
to the theory and problems involved in the<br />
measurement of psychological variables leading<br />
to critical discussion and analysis of tests of<br />

antecedents of psychology leading to discussion<br />
of the events and trends of the recent past and<br />

Psychotherapy: An advanced examination<br />
and critique of the concepts and methods of<br />
psychological intervention in dealing with<br />
individuals facing psychological stress. Special<br />
attention is given to the heritage, assumptions<br />
and success in application of psychotherapeutic<br />
techniques. Prerequisite: PS440 or permission<br />

PS475, Advanced Seminar in Cognitive<br />
Psychology: This is a capstone course for learning<br />
and cognition. The topics will vary across<br />
semesters. They may include neural networks<br />
and connectionism, comparative cognition,<br />
theories of learning, eyewitness testimony, or<br />
other specialty areas in learning and cognition.<br />
Prerequisite: PS385 or permission of instructor.<br />

PS476, Advanced Seminar in Biopsychology:<br />
Continued exploration within an area of<br />
biological psychology. The topic of each advanced<br />
seminar will be announced in the class<br />
schedule. Prerequisite: PS235 or permission of<br />

PS477, Advanced Seminar in Social Psychology:<br />
A focused and in-depth examination of a<br />
specialized topic in the field of social psychology.<br />
Examples of such topics include: small<br />
group processes, self-perception and disclosure,<br />
attribution, interpersonal attraction, altruistic<br />
behavior, social influence, attitude formation<br />
and change, and leadership. Prerequisite:<br />
PS350 or permission of instructor. (U/G)(3).<br />

PS478, Advanced Seminar in Developmental<br />
Psychology: Continued coverage of an area<br />
within developmental psychology. The topic<br />
