An introductory study of managerial functions<br />

and practices in theatre arts. Prerequisite: Junior<br />

and presentation of major plays with<br />

emphasis on character study, development and<br />

execution. Ensemble acting is stressed. Prerequisites:<br />

TH417, Drama Research: Research and<br />

writing of a term paper on some aspect of the<br />

theatre or drama. Prerequisite: Junior or senior<br />

and scene work for the television camera.<br />

Explores differences in performance technique<br />

required by the stage and the television camera.<br />

Prerequisite: Junior standing in the theater<br />

Development of audition and portfolio presentation<br />

techniques with emphasis on performance<br />

TH426W, Playwriting and Screenwriting:<br />

Writing for theater and film. Primary goals will<br />

be to learn scriptwriting fundamentals and to<br />

explore one’s own style and voice as a writer.<br />
