I: Phase I of the Experiential Program for<br />

Preparing School Principals (EPPSP) places<br />

emphasis on a vision of learning, collaboration<br />

with families and community, school and<br />

community relations, and leadership.<br />

Participants explore leadership styles through<br />

the use of several inventories and selfassessment<br />

instruments. Only open to<br />

EPPSP students. (G)(6). Spring.<br />

ED559, The School Principalship — Phase<br />

III: Phase III of the Experiential Program for<br />

Preparing School Principals (EPPSP) places<br />

an emphasis on school law, negotiations and<br />

collective bargaining, due process, rules and<br />

regulations, ethics, student diversity, cultural<br />

competency and meeting the needs of special<br />

populations. Only open to EPPSP students.<br />

IV: Phase IV of the Experiential Program for<br />

an emphasis on organizational management.<br />

Focus is given to policy and administrative<br />

management technologies, models of organizational<br />

change, effective change strategies, team<br />

development and conflict management. Only<br />

Transition I: Transition I of the Experiential<br />

Program for Preparing School Principals<br />

(EPPSP) places an emphasis on internship<br />

and proficiency development, research, school<br />

reform, current issues in education, understanding,<br />

responding to, and influencing the<br />

political, social, cultural, economic and legal<br />

context. Only open to EPPSP students.<br />

Transition II: Transition II of the Experiential<br />

(EPPSP) places an emphasis on research,<br />

internship and proficiency development, and<br />

Effective Teaching and Leadership<br />

Program (METL)<br />

The Masters in Effective Teaching and<br />

Leadership (METL) has a long history of<br />

serving educators seeking a Masters of Science<br />

in Education. METL is a 36-hour program<br />

requiring the completion of 21 CORE hours<br />

and 15 hours tailored to student interest. The<br />

program is designed for working educational<br />

practitioners to complete in two to three years.<br />

II: Phase II of the Experiential Program for<br />

Preparing School Principals (EPPSP) places<br />

emphasis on the school culture and instructional<br />

program. This course is focused on curriculum,<br />
