<strong>Tsunami</strong><br />

CA UTION<br />

DO NOT remove or adjust mirrors ME, M7, M8, Or M9, or the prisms in a<br />

femtosecond <strong>Tsunami</strong> laser. These optics are prealigned at the factory<br />

and are not to be disturbed until specifically told to do so elsewhere in this<br />

manual. A service call may be required if disturbed.<br />

NOTE<br />

Although there are many similarities between jet dye lasers and Ti:sapphire<br />

lasers, cavity alignment is not one of them. If you are familiar<br />

with dye laser alignment, do not attempt to apply these techniques to the<br />

<strong>Tsunami</strong> laser. Carefully follow the instructions below for best results.<br />

Equipment Required:<br />

Monochromator<br />

Autocorrelator-Model409 -08 (or equivalent)<br />

* it- viewer, such as a FJW Industries "Find-R-Scope."<br />

General Cavity Alignment<br />

Refer to Figure 6-1 and Figure 6-2 as you proceed through this alignment.<br />
