Staff rating <strong>of</strong> participation in therapy. The items addressed cooperation,<br />

motivation and how actively involved the participant was in therapy<br />

<strong>Music</strong> <strong>Therapy</strong> Treatment Protocol<br />

• Variety <strong>of</strong> music therapy procedures utilized<br />

• Based on interests and abilities <strong>of</strong> the participants, and ability to address<br />

the goals<br />

• Opening song/activity<br />

• Usually an instrumental improvisation<br />

• Core or main activities<br />

• One or two additional music therapy activities<br />
