About session format, 84.9% <strong>of</strong> respondents work in group sessions; 65.3% in<br />

individual sessions; 14.4% in family sessions and 8.5% in dyadic sessions.<br />

The main media used are percussion instruments, voice, and body. More<br />

frequently techniques used are listening to music (78.5%), instrumental<br />

improvisation (70.5%), body movement with music (65.2%), combined<br />

listening with verbalisation (61.6%) and vocal improvisation (58.5%).<br />

Theoretical orientation vary according the country, in Argentine, Brazil,<br />

Colombia, Chile, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay, Psychoanalytic approach and<br />

Existential and Humanistic schools are most frequently. In Spain there is not<br />

unifying school <strong>of</strong> practice.<br />
