4.3 Paralympic Villages policies and services4.3.1 Security and law enforcementAll entrances and exits to the Paralympic Village will be through agreed accreditationprotocols for people, materials and vehicles. The Village will have a SecurityCommander, a senior Metropolitan Police officer who will have overall coordinationand management of the security infrastructure and resources to guarantee the Villageis a safe and secure environment.There will be a Police desk close to the NPC Services Centre for the reporting of anyincidents of security or criminality; all such matters will be managed discreetly andefficiently by the security forces.The security forces are engaged in every aspect of the Village emergency planning,including testing and readiness for every eventuality.4.3.2 Emergency servicesThe emergency services will have command and control desks within the VillageSecurity Command Centre in order to immediately deploy resources to any incident.The emergency services may also conduct functionality checks during the Gamesperiod to ensure that emergency equipment, systems, materials and crew are bothcompliant and fit for purpose should the need arise. These checks should not impacton NPCs adversely but may require access to residences designated to them.4.3.3 Lost and foundAll found items and reports of lost items should be delivered and reported to a residentcentre. LOCOG will maintain a ‘lost and found’ register accessible in any residentcentre.
