VOs will make contact with their Diplomatic Missions in good time before the Gamesto make arrangements for arrival, collection of Pre-Valid Cards and other operationalmatters.5.4.3 Dignitary Assistants (DAs)Dignitary Assistants (DAs) will be assigned to Ministers responsible for Sport and tosome domestic dignitaries. Their role will be to help with programme coordination aswell as arrival and departure arrangements of Ministers responsible for Sport.Assignment of DAs will take place in spring 2012 and will aim to match, whereverpossible, DAs’ language skills with the language needs of Ministers responsible forSport.5.4.4 Complimentary tickets for the Opening and Closing CeremoniesHeads of State or Government and their accredited guests, Ministers responsible forSport and their guests accredited in the NPC category, as well as other prominentGovernment officials, will receive complimentary tickets for the ceremonies. Thesedignitaries will be seated in the NPC stand.Members of the entourage accredited in the NPC category, as well as Heads ofDiplomatic Mission, must purchase tickets if they wish to attend the ceremonies. Therewill be a limited number of tickets available for purchase per Head of State orGovernment attending each ceremony. These tickets will be for the public seatingarea.More details of the ticketing aspects for dignitaries, including eligibility, allocation anddistribution, will be provided at a later date.5.4.5 AccommodationLOCOG has offered each NPC the opportunity to reserve rooms for its dignitaries.Dignitaries whose NPCs have requested rooms will be accommodated in four-star andfive-star hotels.London 2012 – NPC Chefs de Mission Dossier158
