Spectator medical servicesSpectator medical services will be provided at competition venues for ParalympicFamily members, press, broadcast, marketing partners, contractors, workforce andspectators. Physicians, nurses and first responders will provide this service.Paralympic Family HotelsThe Paralympic Family Hotel – the Grange St Paul’s – will have a 24-hour primarycare facility staffed by doctors and experienced nurses. NPC Presidents andSecretaries General will have access to this facility.5.6.7 Medical transportAmbulances will be stationed at competition venues and some non-competition venuesduring medical services operational hours. Arrangements to summon ambulancesurgently have been developed with the ambulance service nationally. All medicaltransport will be coordinated by LOCOG Medical Services. Alternative forms oftransport will be utilised if clinically appropriate.5.6.8 Paralympic Family hospitalsAthletes and NPC team officials, who require services beyond the capabilities of thepolyclinics, will be transported to Homerton Hospital in London, or the designatedhospital in all other competition towns and cities. Designated hospitals for the pressand broadcast and other Paralympic Family members have also been identified andany planned transfer will be coordinated by LOCOG Medical Services.
