Athlete fitness and sport recreationThe Paralympic Rowing Village will contain a gymnasium with a significant selectionof cardiovascular equipment and free weights, and space for stretching and warmingup/down. The gym equipment will be sport-specific to the needs of Rowing athletes.There will also be plenty of safe places for jogging, both within the Village and in theuniversity campus. 4.5 Paralympic Sailing Village4.5.1 Paralympic Sailing Village overviewThe Paralympic Sailing Village is located in Weymouth and Portland and is less than1km from the Sailing competition venue. LOCOG Securityservices at this Village will be supported by Dorset County Police.Given the proximity of the Village to the venue and even though a regular shuttleservice will be available from the Transport Mall, LOCOG anticipates the majority ofathletes and NPC team officials will walk the short distance between the Village andthe venue.4.5.4 Welcome CentreThe Village Welcome Centre is located adjacent to the Transport Mall and will beopen 24 hours a day.
