Please refer to the Customs and Freight Forwarding Gui<strong>de</strong> for specificinformation on EU and non-EU allowances.There is no maximum value limit for goods brought into the London 2012 Gamesun<strong>de</strong>r Temporary Admission.GiveawaysGiveaway goods can be brought in un<strong>de</strong>r Temporary Admission, provi<strong>de</strong>d they are tobe distributed free of charge to the public at the London 2012 Games. For thepurposes of the Games, the 'public' may inclu<strong>de</strong> athletes and NPC team officials. Ifthis is inten<strong>de</strong>d, it must be clear on customs documents at the time of importation thatthe goods are inten<strong>de</strong>d to be distributed free of charge at the London 2012 Gamesand not for re-export. Note that give-away goods may not inclu<strong>de</strong> alcoholic drinks,tobacco goods or fuels.If goods are to be donated to schools or sports clubs after the Games, please contactLOCOG Logistics for advice and a process for <strong>de</strong>claring these goods.Commercial importsNPCs cannot bring in goods un<strong>de</strong>r the Temporary Admission procedure to sell forcommercial gain while in the UK. If NPCs intend to bring in such goods, they will beclassified as commercial imports and they will be subject to customs duties and tax atthe time of importation into the EU.Freight arrival procedures un<strong>de</strong>r Temporary AdmissionAny shipment arriving by any mo<strong>de</strong> of transport from outsi<strong>de</strong> the EU will require a UKbasedbroker to make a formal customs clearance request for Temporary Admission toHMRC. The shipment will receive an immediate release and your agent will be able tomake <strong>de</strong>livery within 24 hours of arrival.
