Domestic flightsDelegates arriving at Heathrow Airport from another UK airport will be routed throughto the domestic baggage reclaim areas of either Terminal 1 or Terminal 5. LOCOGwill not be providing accreditation validation facilities at Heathrow Airport’s domesticterminals and therefore NPC delegations using these will need to validate the Pre-ValidCards at the Village Welcome Centres or competition venues.Delegates transferring to a domestic flight should note that UK security restrictionscurrently limit the carriage of fluids in hand luggage to 100ml on all flights, and theserestrictions will apply on any onward domestic flights regardless of the rules appliedduring the inbound international leg of the journey.3.3.6 Meet and greet NPC Presidents and Secretaries GeneralUpon arrival at London Heathrow Airport, and subject to NPCs having submittedinformation through the ADS, NPC Presidents and Secretaries General will be met atthe aircraft gate by a member of the Meet and Greet team, who will be available toassist with any issues experienced at the border, accreditation validation or baggagereclaim, as well as escorting them through the airport terminal building to connect toonward transport to the Paralympic Family Hotel or one of the Villages.3.3.7 Accreditation facilitiesPre-Valid Cards can be validated by NPC delegation members upon arrival at eachinternational terminal at Heathrow Airport. However, it will not be possible toundertake the validation at the airport in the following circumstances:- The athlete or NPC team official does not possess a Pre-Valid Card.- The Delegation Registration Meeting (DRM) has not been completed.- There is a technical issue with completing the validation at the airport.Under these circumstances, the individual must proceed to a Village Welcome Centreor a Venue Accreditation Help Office (VAHO) for further assistance.
