When leaving the Welcome Centre, transport will be provided to transfer athletes andNPC team officials and accompanying luggage to their allocated accommodation.4.2.3 Accommodation in the Paralympic VillageExample – apartment layoutExample – townhouse layoutAthletes and NPC team officials will be accommodated in newly constructedpermanent buildings, ranging in height from seven to 13 levels. However, in order tominimise the use of lifts, NPCs will be accommodated on levels one to five (includingthe ground floor). The buildings contain a combination of apartments (for four, six oreight beds) and self-contained townhouses.All apartments will have social spaces and a ratio of bathrooms to residents which willmeet or exceed IPC Paralympic Village guidelines. All bedrooms will be furnished andequipped in accordance with IPC guidelines. With the exception of the tiledbathrooms, all flooring will be laminated wood.
