Each training venue will remain open until the final day of competition for itsrespective sport.For some sports, teams will not be required to book training sessions; the trainingvenues will offer an open-door policy. For other sports, teams will be pre-allocatedtraining sessions before the Games, although they may be given the option to changetheir sessions at the Sport Information Centre in the Paralympic Village or at SportInformation <strong>de</strong>sks at competition venues if other slots are available. For other sports,teams will be required to book all training sessions through the Sport InformationCentre in the Village or at Sport Information <strong>de</strong>sks at competition venues. Detailedinformation about availability and the process for booking training sessions for eachindividual sport will be provi<strong>de</strong>d in the Explanatory Books for each sport.A list of confirmed training venues can be found on The Exchange. The venues arealso inclu<strong>de</strong>d in the maps in section seven.2.3.5 Catering at competition venuesFood and beverage services will be provi<strong>de</strong>d for accredited athletes and NPC teamofficials at athlete lounges located at competition venues. Access to these services willbe controlled by the sport team volunteers and services will be provi<strong>de</strong>d at each venueduring competition and official training days.All competition venue athlete lounges will feature a refreshment station, serving hotand cold beverages and snacks. The hours of service will vary by venue, but will notopen more than three hours prior to the competition start time and will not close laterthan one hour after the end of the competition. Please see section 4.2.6 forinformation regarding Athlete Venue Meals (AVMs).2.3.6 Weather informationAfter the Met Office was appointed in October 2009 to meet all of LOCOG’smeteorological needs, significant work has been completed and continues across avariety of workstreams.
