NPC-<strong>de</strong>dicated vehicle management and usageVehicles will be available from 20 August to 12 September 2012 and can becollected after completion of the DRM from the Fleet Depot NPC (FDN), located in themulti-storey car park next to the main entrance of the Paralympic Village. Only theChef <strong>de</strong> <strong>Mission</strong> or an accredited NPC team official will be allowed to sign for andcollect the keys for the vehicles from the FDN and will be responsible for themthroughout the Games. Upon completion of the Games, all vehicles must be returnedto the FDN only. No drop-offs at any other location will be allowed.NPC-<strong>de</strong>dicated vehicles may be used for travel within the <strong>de</strong>signated boundaries ofthe Paralympic territory, which inclu<strong>de</strong>s all official competition and non-competitionvenues.Only NPC Assistants and accredited members of the NPC <strong>de</strong>legation are allowed todrive the vehicles. Please note that in the UK vehicles drive on the left-hand si<strong>de</strong> of theroad.Should NPCs wish to self-drive, the following criteria will apply to the driver:- The driver must be aged over 21 but is recommen<strong>de</strong>d to be ol<strong>de</strong>r than 25;- The driver must have provision of a full valid licence from country of origin<strong>de</strong>signated to drive a manual vehicle (please note some licences state automaticdrive only);- If the licence is not in English, then an international driving permit must beprovi<strong>de</strong>d (these are issued by national/territorial automobile associations);- The driver must sign the LOCOG disclaimer form certifying no drink- or drugrelatedconvictions within the last five years; and- The driver must abi<strong>de</strong> by the terms and conditions of use of the <strong>de</strong>dicatedvehicles.All queries regarding NPC-<strong>de</strong>dicated cars can be directed to the Transport <strong>de</strong>sk at theNPC Services Centre in the Paralympic Village.5.2.13 Vehicle Access and Parking Permits (VAPPs)NPC-<strong>de</strong>dicated vehicles will be equipped with a Village and Venues (VLV) P3 VAPP.This will allow them access and parking in Car Park 3 in all Villages and competitionand training venues. It will also allow access to a drop-off/pick-up load zone at PFHsLondon 2012 – NPC <strong>Chefs</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Dossier</strong>147
